Past President Legacy Scholarship Program
Los Angeles Tenth District’s Past President Legacy Scholarship Program was founded in honor of the past presidents who have served the Los Angeles Tenth District PTSA since 1920. These amazing volunteers have dedicated many years of service advocating for all Los Angeles Unified School District students. Their love and dedication will carry on through this scholarship program to assist students in reaching their goals after high school.
This scholarship aims to acknowledge the achievements of high school seniors for volunteer service in their school and or community to incentivize students to continue their education.
Scholarship Award Components: Three (3) $5,000; Four (4) $2,500; Five (5) $ $1,000 scholarships which will be selected by the LA Tenth District PTSA scholarship committee.
Part 1 and Part 2 must be completed in the Los Angeles Tenth District PTSA with the link provided or QR Code no later than January 12, 2024, 11:59 pm NO EXCEPTIONS
Eligibility, Guideline, and Procedure
Eligibility

Be a California resident.
-
Graduating from our Los Angeles Tenth District PTSA service area public high school in California June 2024.
-
A member of their high school PTSA in good standing. Applicant must be a member of this current school year 2023-2024
-
Proof of at least 40 Hours of Community Service

An official transcript showing a GPA of 2.5 or higher for the senior year fall semester grade report.

A copy of the applicant’s current PTSA membership card.

Proof of at least 40 Hours of Community Service

Scholarship recipients

Certificate of Award and Recognition at our Annual Gala in May

Scholarship recipients must provide proof of college, trade, or vocational enrollment and proof of high school completion submitted to the link in the award award letter.

As soon as you send your request, an email confirmation receipt of your request and a record of your submission. Please give our committee, PTSA Tenth District Board and office staff time to process the request about 10-14 business days. NO EXCEPTIONS
